Just finished pushing through the last couple pages on the first draft of a new feature script called 'SID'. I was hoping to have this done by the end of September but I think I did okay with my time line considering I'm not even a day and a half overdue. It's basically a superhero script with some horror undertones.

I've sent it out to a couple people for a first read through and we'll see what we get back. Once I'm satisfied it's been proofed appropriately I'll post it here. Just need to get there first.

The first production meeting for the January One Acts is tomorrow evening. Not much to say about this yet.

Next writing project is a book on writing. Basically documenting my approach on writing and how I schedule things to get done. I'm going to be taking a two month approach on this instead of my typical three since I really don't need a month to work on story arcs, character dynamics, and plot. Should just be a straight gather notes and then write. Since I've been jotting stuff down for the past two months the note gathering process should be fairly straight forward.

I haven't mentioned it yet but I'm also picking up a regular writing exercise. It's just for me for now but I'd like if it could expand out to be a group exercise. The basic premise is pick a random sentence on Sunday, have a scene inspired by or using the random sentence by the following Sunday, and then start the process all over again. I'm calling it, for reasons I hope are obvious, Scene A Week.

It'd be cool if I could keep up with this just for the regular writing and the source material stockpile. Like everything else we'll see what happens.
