I've unfortunately been absent on my writing for the past couple weeks. Not just on this site but in general. Between working on rehearsing A Brand New Hell, other writing projects, a pregnant wife, and a full time job I was hitting a burn out phase. I managed to eek out two weeks of vacation from work and went at it with a laziness I haven't known since highschool. I quite literally did nothing for two whole weeks other than play video games.

This wasn't so bad on it's own except that it's taken me a couple weeks to shake it and get back down to business. We're a week and a half away from A Brand New Hell heading to stage and I think I'm finally back in to form. There's a lot going on and a lot I'm working on trying to get back in to the groove.

On the topic of A Brand New Hell I've been working out my audio, performed some makeup tests on myself, put together a t-shirt, and made some minor tweaks to the script. The tweaks are all things we'd changed in rehearsals anyway that needed to be updated. The script still on this site is the original first draft and doesn't have these changes.

I'm also back working on The First Draft Done, my little writing project on productive writing. The book itself has been written for quite some time. I'm just getting back to laying it out now. When I first starting working on layout I had planned to do it all in OpenOffice. That was when I was still using XP as my primary OS. I've since switched back to Linux and have been using Ubuntu. Since I'm already there I thought I'd give LaTeX a shot. I'm really liking the formatting defaults. I just need to do some tweaking and add some pictures that were missing from the original document. I should have a completed book version in the next week or so. I'll be posting it here among a few other places.

Other than that there are a lot of little things going on that aren't really anywhere near mentioning at this time. I need to get back on my Scene A Week project but that's not very high on my priorities at the moment.
