Working with KWLT and having A Brand New Hell performed was an incredible experience. The show, as a whole, went very well. Although I have a bit of bias I'm forced to say that my cast stole the show every night. Out of five plays they consistently got the best laughs and the best applause. That's not take away from any of the other shows. I enjoyed them all immensely. Something just clicked for my show.

On the final show we were sold out. The audience response was nothing short of phenomenal. In some cases the laughter was so loud that dialogue got lost in the shuffle. You couldn't hear the actors over the audience. The applause they got for that final performance was insane. Sitting in the middle of the audience for that was an extremely gratifying experience.

My lead actor, a Mr. Michael Mercy, was kind enough to film the opening night show. I should be hearing back within a couple days or weeks with an edit from the two camera shoot. I'm very interested in having a copy of the performance. Likely we'll be posting a copy of youtube to share out.

Sometime over the course of the next month we're looking to get in there and do a proper short film version. This is looking like it's only going to be a single day shoot. I want to give my actors some time to rest up and relax. I also need to do a little set dressing wrangling to find some ugly carpet and a couch or love seat.

As far as I writing goes I feel very invigorated. I just want to keep working and keep writing. I've got several projects on the go, two of which are stage productions. I left that theatre Saturday night knowing I could do that every night for the rest of my life and love every single minute of it. One of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences I've ever had.
